Alexa Silva, MA, MSW, Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW) has extensive experience working with First Responders, Veterans/active military, and their families. Her clinical experience includes working with teenagers, individuals, and couples who struggle with PTSD, trauma, depression, anxiety, and relational issues. 

Alexa is married to a firefighter and Marine Veteran. As the spouse of a first responder and Veteran, Alexa understands the unique struggles and demands that first responder, Veterans/active military and their families face. She focuses on providing a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment for clients to feel connected and heard. Alexa believes in using a client-centered and strengths based approach to help empower and support clients through their therapeutic journey.

James Boomhower

ames currently has over 20 years of experience working as a first responder, James has worked in the EMS profession in nearly every facet throughout NY and New England. Most recently, James works as a Critical Care Transport Specialist- Paramedic with Boston MedFlight. James has been providing peer support for colleagues, managing crises and critical incidents for the past five years. James lectures around the country on caring for mental health in first responders and health care providers alongside providing training events on mental health, resilience, and critical incident stress management.

In his clinical work, James believes that clients understand themselves in a way that no one else does. As such, James works to partner with clients as he believes therapy is a shared process. James draws on his background as a first responder as well as his academic training to provide services that incorporate evidence-based interventions that are also culturally competent. James allies with clients to help them find their individual paths to peace and recovery.
