-Dr. Brooke Bartlett
Dr. Brooke Bartlett is a highly specialized public safety and military trauma psychologist and the owner of the Center for Trauma, Anxiety, and Stress, Inc. She has extensive clinical, research, and consultation experience supporting first responders, military personnel, and other trauma-exposed occupational populations. Dr. Bartlett has advanced expertise in the evidence-based assessment and treatment of trauma- and anxiety-related conditions, including PTSD, trauma-related guilt, moral injury, and complex trauma presentations.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Bartlett has published over 20 peer-reviewed scientific articles in professional journals focused on traumatology and mental health outcomes among trauma-exposed populations. She provides training and consultation to clinicians nationwide, with a particular emphasis on evidence-based trauma assessment, case conceptualization, differential diagnosis, and evidence-based interventions for posttraumatic stress.
As a licensed clinical psychologist and PSYPACT provider, Dr. Bartlett provides therapy services to individuals across more than 40 states and works closely with public safety agencies to support peer support program development, wellness initiatives, and trauma-informed organizational programming. Her work is grounded in evidence-based practice and distinguished by a clear, clinically practical approach that bridges research and real-world application.

-Dr. Robyn Sonnier
Dr. Robyn Sonnier is a licensed professional counselor, supervisor, and nationally recognized trauma clinician with specialized expertise in working with military personnel and first responders. She brings over a decade of clinical experience to her work, holding licenses in multiple states, and has extensive trainings & certifications in treating trauma and the unique mental health needs of the military & first responder populations. In addition to her clinical practice, she is a sought-after educator, consultant, and supervisor, known for bridging clinical excellence with real-world applicability for those who serve on the front line. She has spoken on both a local and national level sharing her clinical expertise and has also been highlighted on various podcasts and media outlets, and she has worked as a consultant with various organizations including Thin Line Advisory, Stella, The Overwatch Collective, and various law enforcement agencies.
-Sgt. Kristi Strong, Doctoral Student
Sgt. Kristi Strong, RPSS, M.S. Psychology, CMHC Candidate, PhD Candidate, is a sworn police officer with over two decades of service and a Louisiana-recognized Registered Peer Support Specialist who works at the intersection of public safety and behavioral health. She has extensive experience supporting law enforcement officers, veterans, and first responder families, specializing in bridging the gap between clinical mental health services and the unique cultural realities faced by first responders.
She was raised in a multi-generational first responder family and, as the spouse of a law enforcement officer and a military parent, brings both professional expertise and personal insight into the culture, stressors, and day-to-day realities experienced by first responders and their families.
Sgt. Strong founded her department’s peer support program, where she provides officer support related to occupational stress, critical incident response, and post-trauma stabilization. Her work includes facilitating referrals to licensed mental health providers and supporting continuity of care through ongoing peer engagement.
She is passionate about helping clinicians build trust and therapeutic rapport with first responders through culturally informed, practical, and ethically grounded approaches. She brings a rare dual perspective of both insider public safety experience and formal behavioral health training to her educational presentations.
Kristi lives in Sunset, Louisiana with her husband, Sgt. Josh Strong. Together they have four adult children and are in the process of adopting their eight-year-old granddaughter.
Beyond the Call — Strengthening First Responder Families
-Dr. Rixie Albright
Dr. Rixie Albright is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Certified First Responder Counselor (CFRC), and Emergency Responder and Public Safety Certified Clinician (ERPSCC) in Louisiana, where she has practiced for twenty-five years. She holds a Doctor of Social Work degree from the University of Kentucky, with a concentration in Military Behavioral Health. Dr. Albright’s doctoral research examined the impact on children raised in law enforcement families. Dr. Albright holds a Bachelor of Social Work and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Louisiana College, as well as a Master of Social Work with a concentration in healthcare from Baylor University.
Dr. Albright is the Director of First Responder Wellness and Resiliency at Premier Psychiatric Services, LLC in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where she specializes in treating first responders, service members, Veterans, and their families. Additionally, she is a contract support service member for Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.), working several hands-on programs, National Police Week, and the national wellness conference. Dr. Albright volunteers with the Louisiana State Police TEAP (Troopers and Employees Assistance Program), the peer support team, including the Louisiana Post Critical Incident Seminar (PCIS), since its inception in 2022, serving as Clinical Director since the Fall of 2024. In addition to Louisiana PCIS, she has served with NYLEAP (New York Law Enforcement Assistance Program) PCIS.
Dr. Albright and her husband, Major Adam Albright (LSP), reside in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and have two children: Madison, a college freshman, and Cooper, a high school sophomore. As a family, we enjoy traveling and being active.
